KARACHI: The last few weeks have been quite exciting for fans of Iqra Aziz. After announcing her return to the small screen with Yasir Hussain's directorial drama after a brief break, Iqra Aziz is now set to star in another new drama. While Hussain’s directorial is being created for Express Entertainment, the new project titled Saanwal Yar Piya is being directed by Wajahat Rauf for Geo Tv. Shazia Wajahat is believed to be the producer behind the serial.

Sharing the screen with Iqra Aziz in the new drama are none other than two of Pakistan’s finest male actors, Feroze Khan and Imran Ashraf. While Khan is currently impressing audiences with his portrayal of Basit in Habs, he has previously proven his on-screen chemistry with Aziz in Khuda Aur Muhabbat 3.

Imran Ashraf, on the other hand, also made a mark with his pairing with Aziz in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi. On the acting front, Ashraf’s last projects included Ramadan special Chaudhry and Sons while he made is film debut with Dum Mastam.
While more details about the storyline are yet to be revealed, fans can assure that with three powerhouses on board as lead actors, Saanwal Yar Piya is sure to keep audiences intrigued.
