KARACHI: Eleven years ago, Saba Qamar, Ahsan Khan and Mikaal Zulfiqar shared the screen for Paani Jaisa Pyaar and now, the trio is returning for a new drama, Fraud. The drama which will air on ARY Digital has been written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah, who is known for her works such as Cheekh (which also starred Saba Qamar) and Pyaar Kay Sadqay, which were both well received by audiences.

The first teaser for Fraud focuses on Ahsan Khan’s character. Speaking with an accent and driving an Audi, Ahsan Khan can be heard talking about his elaborate plans which include traveling to Dubai. He steps out of his fancy car dressed to the T but is clearly out of place in a very middle class neighborhood. And that is when we get an idea that things are not matching up. A character can be heard telling Khan, “Once they discover your reality, they will do to you what you do with all these girls.” And then the narrative shifts and we see the real Ahsan Khan. Long gone is his designer suit and accent. Instead, we have a very heavily Punjabi accented dhoti wearing Khan. The shift in narrative seems to suggest that Khan might be playing the antagonist in the drama.

While the teaser for the new drama gives us insight about who Ahsan Khan will play, we are yet to see what roles Saba Qamar and Mikaal Zulfiqar will have to play. It will be exciting to see how their roles will pan out and how the story of the drama will unfold. However, as excited as we are to see the trio back on screen, we will have to wait for more teasers and a release date to be announced.
