KARACHI: If anything the last year has taught it, it is that Pakistani artists have made a place for themselves on a global level and there is no holding them back now. And if there is any proof of that statement, it is the fact that Ali Sethi just performed at The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival held in California!
Ali Sethi already enjoys fame in Pakistan but soon rose to international fame with his Coke Studio hit Pasoori which was recorded as the most searched song on Google in 2022. The song boasts more than half a billion views on YouTube. Sharing the stage with Sethi was Raja Kumari who danced along to the song and filled in Shae Gill’s vocals.

Also making his Coachella debut along side Ali Sethi was none other than Diljit Singh Dosanjh. Dosanjh became the first Punjabi language singer to perform at the festival. However, this is not the first time a Pakistani singer has taken to stage at Coachella. Last year, Grammy award winner Arooj Aftab also headlined at the music festival.

Needless to say, fans from both sides of the border were beyond ecstatic to see Ali Sethi and Diljit Dosanjh perform at Coachella.
