KARACHI: Last May, Sonya Hussyn revealed that she had not been paid
for her role in the movie Tich Button. Over a year later, many would have expected the issue to be settled. However, the actor has allegedly still not been paid in full. With the release
of the film merely days away, Sonya Hussyn has now sent a legal notice to debutant producer Urwa Hocane over incomplete payment.

The notice dated 22nd October states that even though shooting for Tich Button wrapped up in 2020, Sonya Hussyn who plays one of the leads in the film has still not been paid. It goes on to say that a cheque of mere Rs. 500,000 was sent to Hussyn which has been sent back by the actor. The notice now demands that Hussyn be paid Rs. 5 million in full within fourteen days.
While Urwa Hocane or the production company are yet to comment on the matter, it is to be noted that Sonya Hussyn was not spotted anywhere during the film’s promotions earlier this month.
