KARACHI: After the success of her web series Eik Jhooti Love Story, ace director Mehreen Jabbar is back with an exciting new project in line. Jabbar has cast in powerhouse Zahid Ahmed and Sarwat Gilani as the leads for her new web series. Ahmed has gained acclaim for his performances in dramas such as Ishq Zahe Naseeb and Mohabbat Tujhey Alvida while Gilani wowed audiences with her role in the web series Churails. While the details about the project have been kept under wraps, here’s what we know so far.
In addition to the incredible cast and director, the web series has a renowned writer on board. Rida Bilal is known for her popular works which include dramas such as Be Inteha and Khudgharz while her most recent work was short film, Pehli Wali which garnered appreciation left, right, and centre.

The untitled web series is going to take a break from the usual household drama and all the tears and is instead going to be a feel good series. It will focus on the lives of two individuals based in Karachi and their individual journeys. These journeys will be full of emotions, brimming with love and friendship. Sarwat Gilani shared some behind the scenes pictures from the set of the web series on her Instagram stories. She captioned a picture of her co-star as, “Back to work. New web series coming soon.”
With all the excitement revolving around Sawart Gilani and Zahid Ahmed’s new web series, the release date and platform are yet to be announced.
