KARACHI: Game of Thrones and Harry Potter fans rejoice! A Game of Thrones prequel
based on George R.R Martin’s book has been given the green signal to move forward with HBO. Similarly, our favorite wizarding world
of Harry Potter has a new TV series coming to HBO Max. Here is all you need to know about the two new series!
Based on the George R.R Martin book called “Dunk and Egg” the prequel which is titled “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight” will follow the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk) and a young Aegon V Targaryen (Egg). The prequel is set 90 years prior to the events of “A Song of Ice and Fire.”

As per the official synopsis, “A century before the events of ‘Game of Thrones,’ two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.”
As far as the Harry Potter TV series is concerned, what we know is that each season of the new show will be based on one of the books of the series and has been described by Warner Bro. Discovery as a “decade-long series.” Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing the faces we associated with characters from the movies and the show will feature an entirely new cast from the films.

As excited as we are for the news, it’s going to be a while before we get to see either of the Game of Thrones or Harry Potter series on screen. Neither of the shows have announced a release date yet.
