KARACHI: The biggest night for music hit off with the 2023 Grammys and some of the biggest names in the industry attended the awards ceremony. The 65th show was hosted by Trevor Noah and was attended by the likes of Beyonce, Harry Styles and Taylor Swift, all of whom went home as winners. History was made, awards were won and here is all that you need to know about the 2023 Grammys.

Harry Styles, who was up against the likes of Beyonce, Adele, Bad Bunny and Coldplay, won the Album of the Year award for Harry’s House. Styles also took home the Best Pop Vocal Album. Lizzo managed to beat Beyonce, Adele, Kendrick Lamar and Doja Cat for Record of the Year for ‘About Damn Time’.

Bonnie Raitt’s ‘Just Like That’ took home the Song of the Year Award beating Taylor Swift, Lizzo, Beyonce and Harry Styles. Adele was awarded the Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Easy on Me’ while Beyonce took home the Best Dance/Electronic Music Album award for Renaissance, which was one of the four awards she won including Best Dance/Electronic Recording, and R&B performance.

Beyonce’s win also marked the artist making history for being the most awarded Grammy artist of all time with a whooping 32 wins! Also making history was Kim Petras who became the first Trans woman to win Best Pop Duo for her collaboration with Sam Smith for ‘Unholy’. While Arooj Aftab might not have gone home with an award, she became the first Pakistani to perform at the Grammys 2023.

Taylor Swift did not go home empty handed and was awarded the Best Music Video Award for ‘All Too Well’.
