Action, suspense and morality: Introducing Team Muhafiz

KARACHI: Over the years, the Pakistani media industry has received a lot praise for stepping up its game in terms of the content and kinds of movies that are being made. Yet, there is still a gap that needs to be filled. There is an absence of content which is appropriate for children and is also educational. However, it seems as though that void has been filled with an animated series Team Muhafiz which recently dropped its trailer and has gotten us excited.

A joint venture between ISPR and the Geo network in association with the AZ Corp, Team Muhafiz tells the story of, “A group of teenage volunteers, who run a Youth Centre and have taken it upon themselves to eradicate social injustices and other ills from the society. Their mission is to instill values of fairness, compassion and justice for all.”

The description for the animated series continues to explain, “Armed with their unique talents and under the guidance of their mentor, Farman, they stand up against injustice.” The trailer for Team Muhafiz gives us insight into what the unique talents are which include archery, handling a cricket bat well and martial arts. The trailer also promised a lot of action and nail biting suspense and a bunch of fighting scenes as well!
