KARACHI: The internet was left buzzing when earlier this year, Riz Ahmed revealed during an interview that he had married novelist Fatima Farheen who he had met at a cafe. Ahmed continued to make headlines as he became the first Muslim to be nominated under the category of Best Actor (lead). As the Oscars took place on 25th April, 2021, Riz Ahmed might not have won an award but he did win the hearts of many with a small gesture. Ahmed and Farheen entered the red carpet as a couple in what seems like their first public appearance since their marriage. Since then, a video of Ahmed fixing his wife’s hair while the two posed for the paparazzi has been making rounds on Twitter.
The sweet moment between Riz Ahmed and Fatima Farheen also has many wishing for a partner of their own. One who would look at them the way Ahmed looks at Farheen, preferably.
The footage from the Oscars red carpet also made room for some back story of how Riz Ahmed proposed to his wife. Let’s just say, the couple has set the bar quite high with their romance.
Safe to say, some are yet to recover from the fact that Ahmed and Farheen met at a cafe.
Riz Ahmed’s love story also has some thinking that the actor might be God’s favourite. How else do you explain the sheer talent, good looks and the perfect love story?!
