KARACHI: The Ms. Marvel premiere
has been the talk of the town and for good reason too. Many have praised the show for its inclusivity especially since the lead character is Pakistani and Muslim. The show, as it turns out, is also a means of bridging the gap between two countries. Just before its release, Indian actor Farhan Akhtar penned out an appreciation post for Award winning director Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy for her help during the filming of Ms. Marvel.
Taking to Twitter the Indian actor wrote, “This post is an appreciation of the creators, the directors and all those in front and behind the camera, who collaborated to make Ms. Marvel what it is.” Farhan Akhtar specifically thanked the Pakistani director by name and said, “It is in appreciation of Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy for her guidance through my days of working on it.”

Ms. Marvel is now streaming on Disney+ and features a star studded cast which includes Farhan Akhtar, Nimra Bucha, Samina Ahmed, Mehwish Hayat and has Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy serving as director. It is set to release in cinemas in Pakistan this summer as well.
