KARACHI: With the entire world moving to digital, more so post Covid-19, Pakistan is finally understanding the need of the hour. Multiple online platforms launched in the last couple of years to cater to a wide range of audiences. Bingee, Nashpati Prime, Dekho, See Prime, RINSTRA, Inflix, UrduFlix are some of the platforms offering original Pakistani content online. A recent addition to the list is Innovative Digestive Showtime that has been created to provide quality entertainment to local audiences, featuring incredibly talented creatives.
The platform officially launched earlier this week amidst a star-studded event in Lahore. Attendees included Sanam Saeed, Mohib Mirza and others at the helm of affairs at Digestive Showtime.

The platform claims to provide “full-on entertainment” in the form of 5 short films, directed by 5 filmmakers, under 150 minutes of entertainment. Featuring Wahaj Ali, Zahid Ahmed, Sanam Saeed, Mohib Mirza, Feroze Khan, Mehmood Aslam, Marina Khan, Sohai Ali Abro and others in integral roles, the five short films look promising. Zahid Ahmed recently took to social media and shared the trailer.

Going by the looks of it, the execution seems to be on point while the films seem to tackle some progressive themes. The first short to release on March 1, 2021, is called Yorker. It is directed by Ahsan Rahim, who made his big-screen debut with Teefa In Trouble that garnered both critical and commercial acclaim, and Syed Nini. The film features Wahaj Ali, Mohammad Ehteshamuddin, Mani and others.
