KARACHI: This year has been quite the year for Wahaj Ali. Ever since Tere Bin aired, he has become the new leading man in the industry with quite a few projects under his belt. However, what fans were not prepared for (but were very happy about) was for him to be paired with critically acclaimed powerhouse Sajal Aly. With just one picture and minimal information, fans were already incredibly hyped up about the pairing. Now, we finally have some information about Wahaj Ali and Sajal Aly’s new drama!
The drama called The Pink Shirt will see Sajal Aly and Wahaj Ali in the leads will be aired on the Indian streaming site Zee5. While the drama has be written and produced by Shailja Kejriwal, she did tag renowned Pakistani screenwriter Bee Gul hinting that she, too, has a hand in the production.
To add to the already building excitement, the first poster for the drama series was finally released earlier today with a small prelude of what to expect. Shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, it was hinted that The Pink Shirt is going to be quite the romantic comedy, “What do you get when you mix complex relationships, a comedy of errors, dramatic moments, a fishbowl, a ‘corny’ date, and a pink shirt? Applause Entertainment presents a Zindagi Original – The Pink Shirt.”
While a release date for the Wahaj Ali and Sajal Ali starrer hasn’t been revealed, we do know that the premier will take place at the SXSW Sydney this month. It’s fair to say, we cannot wait to see what the two will bring to the screen!
