KARACHI: If Bollywood has a sweetheart, it is Deepika Padukone (even though Koffee with Karan might want us to believe that it is Alia Bhatt). Padukone is known for bringing her charisma on and off screen. But what makes her so likeable is the fact that along with her grace, she also has a goofy side, one which probably comes out more when she is with her husband, the goofiest of them all. The couple is one of the most adored celebrity couples out there and radiate positive energy wherever they go. The same chemistry is translated onto their latest song, ‘Current Laga’, where Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are seen together like never before.

The song is from Singh’s upcoming movie, Cirkus, in which Padukone has only made a guest appearance for the dance number. However, it might just be the selling factor for the film as a whole. ‘Current Laga’ is a silly song at its best, but the two performers will make sure that you do not hit skip. In a neatly tied bun and a bright banarsi saari, Padukone is the perfect blend of grace and foolish. For a change, Singh seems to have not borrowed his wife’s wardrobe and appears in a plain black attire. But in true Ranveer Singh style, his facial expressions and dance moves are enough to keep the party going.
The choreography for ‘Current Laga’ is equally fun and has the potential to be replicated in loads of mehendis and sangeets coming up this wedding season.

Cirkus is ready to release on 23rd December and has been directed by Rohit Shetty, who has previously directed Ranveer Singh’s Simmba and Deepika Padukone’s Chennai Express.
