KARACHI: Jimmy Fallon is one of the most popular late night TV hosts and part of his charm is that his humor is unproblematic. However, now that very humor is being called into question over a clip of Jimmy Fallon mocking Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Many failed to find humor in the clip and others were upset over the timing of the mockery.

It all began with a clip of a recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, where Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif struggled with his translation headphones. After a few unsuccessful attempts of putting them in, he had to ask for help. Despite the help, he still struggled. Jimmy Fallon shared the clip of Shehbaz Sharif and as the audience laughed, said “That guy is the leader of 220 million people.”

While Jimmy Fallon might have found the clip hilarious, many failed to find the humor in it.

Some Twitter users also pointed out how inappropriate it was for Jimmy Fallon to mock the Pakistani Prime Minister when he never once brought up the fact the country is suffering through the worst natural disasters in the world.

Those who were calling out Jimmy Fallon also made it clear that they did not have to be Shahbaz Sharif supporters to see how the joke was in bad taste.

Needless to say, Jimmy Fallon missed the mark this time!
