Hasan Raheem, Natasha Noorani, Talal Qureshi’s ‘Faltu Pyar’ will get you grooving

KARACHI: The Pakistani music industry has been thriving, courtesy of younger artists proving their talent and even music giants experimenting with newer genres and fresh voices. Be it Shae Gill, Young Stunners, Eva B or Abdullah Siddiqui, our music industry seems to be in safe hands. And of course, when one talks about young singers who rose to fame overnight, Hasan Raheem tends to top the list. From his hit single ‘Joona’, to Coke Studio’s 'Peechay Hutt', the artist has been churning out one hit after another. For his latest track, ‘Faltu Pyar’, Hasan Raheem has collaborated with none other than Natasha Noorani and Talal Qureshi and safe to say, the song has been playing on repeat for us.

‘Faltu Pyar’ is the perfect addition to contemporary songs that resonate with their listeners while having the tendency to be played at parties, in the car or simply hum on your own. Hasan Raheem’s lyrics try to convince his beloved of his loyalty who seems to have a broken image of love and relationships. Natasha Noorani stuns in a metallic look which perfectly complements her sass as she sings about having bigger ambitions and dreams. While Hasan Raheem is adamant on pursuing her, Natasha Noorani has no time for ‘Faltu Pyar’.

All female listeners of the song can probably relate to Noorani as she gives her lover and her listeners a reality check. Like most modern relationships, Noorani believes hers will also not last more than two days and will be established on trust that can be broken in a second. In a fun turn of events, Raheem pleads “aisay toh na karo (don’t do this)” while Noorani contests “aisay kyun na karun? (why shouldn’t I)”, letting the woman take agency in the relationship.

What makes the song and video even more refreshing is the music produced and mixed by Talal Qureshi. If you remember ‘Peechay Hutt’ or even 'Sixer', you will know that Qureshi has the tendency to make his listeners want to dance. He pulls off the same with ‘Faltu Pyar’ as Hasan Raheem and Natasha Noorani engage in a brief and effortless routine (choreographed by Mehar Bano) while Qureshi himself makes an appearance too.
