Knives Out 2 begins filming in Greece

The film stars Kathryn Hahn, Dave Bautista alongside Daniel Craig

KARACHI: After the first film did successfully with box office numbers i.e., $311.4 million, Knives Out is coming with a sequel. The writer and director of the previous film, Rian Johnson is thinking of coming up with Knives Out 2, another whodunnit after the first part. Johnson had already made his plans clear at the Oscars 2020, but he recently took to Twitter to excitedly break the news.

“Aaaaaaaand WE’RE OFF! Day one of filming on the next Benoit Blanc mystery. Thanks to all the lovely patient people here in Greece for letting us do all this murdering on their peaceful shores,” he wrote.

Recently, pictures from the set have also come out. The film stars Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn, Kate Hudson, and Daniel Craig in lead roles. With a cast that has such potential, the film is all set to make audiences hooked.

The first film was a crime thriller where Daniel Craig’s character i.e., Benoit Blanc, a private detective looking to find the culprit behind the murder of Harlan Thrombey, a famous book author who is leaving behind an entire fortune, and a highly possible motive for murder. In the first part, the lead suspect is the victim’s nurse who absolutely cannot lie, making the plot thicken as the story moves forward. The film had Chris Evan play the antagonist – something that was pretty unexpected for the audience after his superhero character in the MCU as Captain America.

The same is yet to be seen for the next installment. Two characters out of the prestigious cast of Knives Out 2 have been associated with the MCU. Kathryn Hahn was recently seen as Agatha Harkness in Marvel’s Wanda Vision, while Dave Bautista plays Drax the Destroyer as a member of Guardians Of The Galaxy, his character last seen in Avengers: Endgame.
