KARACHI: PSL 2020 may have been a nuisance for the people of Karachi as roads were blocked and massive traffic jams were faced by the citizens. However, the final match of PSL 2020 proved to be a joy for Karachiites. On Tuesday night, Karachi Kings won the final against Lahore Qalandars by five wickets. This is also the first time that Karachi Kings has been crowned the winners of the tournament.
Celebrating the win of their home team, celebrities also took to their social media to congratulate Karachi Kings and rejoice over the victory.
Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui and Ejaz Aslam were amongst the few spectators present at the stadium last night. Sharing live updates from the stadium, Humayun Saeed dedicated a post to Karachi Kings winning the PSL 2020 final.
Asim Azhar and Fahad Mustafa held their own mini screening of the match with their friends in Karachi. Asim Azhar, who also sang the PSL 2020 anthem was seen celebrating on social media as well.
Amongst other celebrities to celebrate was Adnan Siddiqui. “All hail the lions of @KarachiKingsARY! Congratulations, champions of #PSL5. Well-deserved win! What a photo finish match! Kept us on the edge throughout. @babarazam258 –man on fire! Incredible performance. Your genius has set the bar high for future players. Atta boy!” he wrote on his twitter.
Shahroz Sabzwari and Mehwish Hayat also congratulated the team.
