KARACHI: As shops and businesses start shutting down to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), Laal Kabootar star Mansha Pasha has an important message for her fans and followers.
They are many who will be able to work from home but those who rely on all the businesses that are shutting down and earn their salary on a daily basis will have trouble providing for their families.
Mansha took to Twitter to announce that some people in the media industry are starting a group to contribute money for ration packets for daily wage earners. These packets will include daily essentials such as food and cleaning supplies.
After tweeting, she received queries on how other people could donate and she directed them to charitable organizations that can help at a time like this.
So far, COVID-19 has nearly infected 200,000 people and resulted in 8,000 deaths worldwide. Italy is one of the countries that has been hit the hardest, with 2,500 deaths. Currently, Pakistan has over 200 cases, with majority of them being reported in Sindh.
