KARACHI: American Instagram model Kaylen Ward took to Twitter to announce that she would send her nude photos to anyone who donated $10 to the Australian bushfire crisis, as long as they provided proof that they had donated to the cause.

According to BuzzFeed News, the Los Angeles influencer and online sex worker was trying to find a way to help those affected by the bushfire crisis. “I was seeing all the posts on Twitter about the Australian fires and I was really concerned there wasn’t a lot of media coverage and not a lot of people donating,” she told BuzzFeed News.

She tweeted to make the announcement and within hours, she was inundated with messages in her inbox, showing proof of their donations. She claims that she has now hired a team of four people to help her sort through the thousands of DMs she’s received. According to BuzzFeed News, they’ve been working around the clock to verify donation confirmations as best they can and reply with the promised nudes.

Many have praised the model for her commitment to the cause while she has also received backlash for the manner in which she is raising money.

Extremely high temperatures and months of severe droughts have fueled massive bushfires in Australia, destroying millions of hectares of land and killing over half a billion animals. The fires have affected wildlife so badly that many predict that several native species face extinction.
