KARACHI: In a recent interview with The Guardian, British actress Emilia Clarke admitted that she was terrified of shooting the nude scenes that appeared on the show, Game of Thrones. Emilia, who played the iconic character of Daenerys Targaryen added that since she hadn’t filmed nude before, this was a terrifying first.

Speaking about the fact that she was new to this entirely foreign thing to her, the actress said  “I’m now on a film set completely naked with all of these people, and I don’t know what I’m meant to do, and I don’t know what’s expected of me, and I don’t know what you want, and I don’t know what I want.”

Game of Thrones, which is an R-rated show filled with sex scenes, explicit violence and language, required the actress to cater to it. Emilia added that she only realised she would be required to do nude scenes after she had already taken the job and subsequently read the script.

In the interview, she gave credit to her co-star Jason Momoa (who plays Khal Drogo, her husband on the show) for looking out for her on set during the shooting of such scenes, “He was so kind and considerate and cared about me as a human being.”

All in all, she details that the experience allowed her to understand what she was comfortable with and what she wasn’t, as well as how much nudity is required for a particular scene. She added, “I’ve had fights on set before where I’m like, ‘No, the sheet stays up,’ and they’re like, ‘You don’t wanna disappoint your Game of Thrones fans.’ And I’m like, ‘Fuck you.”
