KARACHI: Earlier this week, an egg broke social media sensation Kylie Jenner’s record for being the most liked picture on Instagram. On January 4, an Instagram handle by the name World_Record_Egg posted a photo of an egg and managed to get over 44 million likes in just 10 days, leaving behind Jenner’s photo of her daughter at 18 million likes.
Jenner, even poked fun at the egg, sharing a throwback video one of her fans made, in which she was seen frying an egg in the hot whether. She captioned it, “Take that little egg.”
While the egg might now be the most liked photo on Instagram, Pakistanis are trying to beat its record by getting a photo of biryani liked by all of Instagram. An account by the name of Biryani_Gang is all set to get their likes over 44 million. They currently stand at over 2000 likes only. Will biryani be able to beat the egg? Only time will tell. But considering its a favourite dish in Pakistan and the rest of South Asia, we’re rooting for biryani.
