KARACHI: There’s no denying that Shahrukh Khan is the king of Bollywood. Over the span of over three decades, he’s ruled the screens and our hearts with performances which have made us laugh, made us cry and everything else in between. So, on the account of Shahrukh Khan celebrating his 56th birthday we’re celebrating King Khan with some of his best and most memorable movie dialogues.

1. “Rahul….naam tou suna hoga” – Dil Tou Pagal Hai

Admittedly Rahul is the most used screen name used by Khan but that’s what makes it so memorable. The iconic dialogue from the 1997 romantic musical Dil To Pagal Hai. What better way to introduce yourself than this cheeky introduction?

2. “Palat, palat!” – Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

This dialogue from the Shahrukh Khan and Kajol starrer has become a mantra for every love struck boy who hopes that the love of his life will give him one last fleeting glance before walking away. We’re not going to lie, we’ve repeated the dialogue a few times ourselves as we stare at our crush’s backs as they walk away from us.

3. “Pyaar, woh bhi eik baar hota hai” – Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is just one of those movies that will live on for all times to come. Rahul perfectly described how we only live once, die once, get married once and truly only love once in our lives.

4. “Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai” – Om Shanti Om

Om Shanti Om is the perfect guide if you’re looking for romantic dialogues and lyrics. While the song ‘Ajab Si’ is a strong contender for the most romantic lines, this dialogue takes the lead on how to win someone over. It gives us hope that things will end up working in our favor.

5. “Don ko pakarna mushkil he nahi, na namumkin hai”- Don

James Bond, who? Watching Shahrukh Khan play the villain in the movie Don was all sorts of exciting. And the amount of confidence he had in not getting caught made the movie all that more exciting to watch in anticipation of what will happen in the end.

6. “Bade bade deshon Mein”- Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

It’s difficult to choose just one dialogue from the iconic movie and label it as our favorite which is why we chose to include two! The chemistry between Shahrukh Khan and Kajol was insane and they will forever remain our favorite on screen pairing which makes this particular dialogue even more sweet.

7. Kia Pata kal ho na ho – Kal Ho Na Ho

Kal Ho Na Ho is one movie that made us laugh, made us fall in love and broke our hearts in the worst way possible. Celebrating Shahrukh Khan on his birthday is celebrating his ability to evoke all these emotions from us that makes his performance that much more memorable.
