KARACHI: Cricket legend Shahid Afridi confirmed on Saturday that he has tested positive for Covid-19.
The former captain wrote that he had been feeling unwell since Thursday and was down with a bodyache.
“I’ve been tested and unfortunately I’m covid-19 positive, “ he said in a tweet.
While Afridi didn’t confirm where he may have contracted the virus, his charity foundation has been actively raising funds and distributing and supplying food to those in need across the country.
The entire world, including Pakistan, is the midst of an unprecedented pandemic which has caused many countries to impose a lockdown and encourage citizens to practice social distancing. Cases have steadily been increasing in Pakistan, where the number of those affected is over 130,000 as of now.
