KARACHI: Before we start, we’d like to make one thing absolutely clear – You are beautiful. Whether you’re skinny or curvaceous, whether you love your body for the way it is, or have a goal in mind, always remember that other people’s perception of your body and expectations with your workout has nothing to do with your importance and worth as a person. You are just as whole now, as you would be after working out.

Workout has been associated with weight loss for a very long time. It has only been until recently that we look at workouts as a means of gaining weight apart from losing it. However, there is much more to it. You can skip weight gain/loss entirely and opt for daily workout routine for the following reasons too:
1. Betters your blood circulation
A major importance of workout is that increases your pulse rate, which enables your heart to pump blood faster. As you work out, more muscles are being used (muscles that you don’t normally use). This means that many parts of your body get a fresh supply of oxygenated blood more quickly. This in turn makes your body more active.
2. Helps regulate your body’s water
As mentioned earlier, a good workout helps your blood circulation to become more efficient and far reached. Due to this, not only do more parts of your body recieve oxygenated blood, but cells and tissues also get supplied water faster. This helps your cells become better saturated with water, which in turn allows them to perform important chemical reactions. Better water supply also enables important processes, such as digestion, excretion, respiration, to be carried out more smoothly. Of course, this also means that you need to keep yourself hydrated more now.

3. Improves your body’s posture
Your skeleton needs to be in certain postures to remain healthy, particularly when it comes to your spine. The importance of good workout routines is in the way it helps you retain a good posture for your body. Your spine is more erect and your back is easily more straight at all times. This helps you avoid back issues as you age.
4. Improves sleep
And who does not love sleep, right? One major benefit to arise from healthy workout patterns is the sleep it brings you. Although initially, you may be more inclined to rest up out of exhaustion. However, as you keep going, a workout can help you strike balance and form routinely habits more easily. When you work out, it gets easier to compartmentalize.
