KARACHI: Shaniera Akram took to Instagram to pen down an emotional post lamenting the difficulties of being physically away from her spouse. The philanthropist wrote “145 days we have been apart! The longest ever.” Earlier in the day, Akram revealed that she was in Australia when fans asked her why she wasn’t fasting after she uploaded a story of her with a tub of hummus. “I’m in Australia and its 8.45 here,” she had to clarify. On the other hand, her husband Waseem Akram is currently in Karachi, where the couple resides.

Talking about how the distance from her husband is affecting her, Akram wrote, “although my heart is breaking everyday I have strength.” She went on to say that although she is missing her husband, she acknowledges “there are those who have lost way more than us.” She penned down her faith that her relationship would survive the circumstances “we have the love that knows no boundaries.” Akram also assured those reading that “I will do my best to be a good mother, citizen and keep my charity and work to help Pakistan as much as I can from here.”
Shaniera Akram also used this opportunity talk about health safety during the pandemic urging her followers on Instagram to be responsible and praying “that everyone stays safe, wears a mask and gets vaccinated as soon as possible so that life can continue as normal.” She ended he post sending out a prayer for “those during this Holy month of Ramadan who are suffering, struggling, in longing or sadly saying goodbye to loved ones.”

With the pandemic showing no signs of easing up, Australia has implemented some of the strictest travel restrictions which explains the distance between the Akrams.
