Three generations of the Bachchan family, considered royalty in Bollywood, tested positive for Covid-19 but are on the road to recovery, reports stated.
Amitabh and his son Abhishek announced they were Covid-19 positive and were shifted to the hospital with mild symptoms on Saturday. The following day, results showed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a former Miss World, and her daughter Aaradhya, 8, were also infected.
Aishwarya and her daughter are said to be asymptomatic. Abhishek tweeted to say they would be self-isolating at home.
On Saturday, Amitabh, 77, also tweeted to announce he was positive for Covid-19.
The news led to outpouring of support for the legendary actor, with many praying for his recovery.
