KARACHI: As 2021 draws to an end, we can’t help but look back and reflect on what difficult 12 months we’ve been through. And the good news is this Christmas weekend, the city is scattered with end of the year celebrations for all kinds of people. Here’s all that is happening this weekend.
1. Attend Atif Aslam’s concert
What better way to mark the end of your year and kickstart your Christmas weekend celebrations than to be serenaded by Atif Aslam’s soulful voice. Music lovers will rejoice knowing that the singer is hosting a concert on the 24th of December. Organized by the Karachi Music Festival, the event will be hosted at the KN Academy. Ticket prices start from Rs.1500 and can be purchased from Ticket Wala.

2. Celebrate Bollywood Style
If you haven’t been able to get your hands on the concert tickets there are other options you can explore for the 24th. To be more specific, you can unleash your inner Bollywood diva and celebrate Bollywood Night at Club 432. The event is organized by The Jungle Pk and as per their description it is going to be, “The most Dahamakaydar Bollywood night of the year featuring Ms Phudina Chatni as Madhuri kicking off the night with her raunchy comedy followed by a live performance by our desi boy Jawed Shalwani and the band, ending the night on a high note with DJ Natalia Ali spinning best of the Bollywood to get you dancing through the night.”

3. Celebrate weekend with TDF Ghar
If Bollywood isn’t really your cup of tea, you have another great option worth exploring. TDF Ghar is organizing a Winterfest this Christmas weekend and to kick start the celebrations they’re hosting The Groovy Years: Karachi of the 60s and 70s with “an exhibition featuring the music, fashion, bazaars, and much more from that era.” They will also be paying homage to Quaid e Azam with a screening of the movie Jinnah on the 25th and will end the weekend with a Qawali Night.

4. Celebrate with Qawali Night
If you’re a Qawali fan, then TDF Ghar isn’t the only place to go. One of the many Christmas weekend celebrations options to explore is the Cube Star Events’ Qawali Night being hosted at PACC on the 25th of December. The event will feature the Warsi Brothers and the tickets cost Rs.1000.

5. Enjoy Christmas Bonfire
Enjoy live music courtesy Ashley Clements & Band, some hot chocolate and a Christmas Bonfire as a part of your year end celebration with District19. Happening on the 25th of December the event begins at 7pm and tickets cost Rs.2000.
