Pakistan’s Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza has tested positive for Covid-19.
Dr Mirza made the announcement on Twitter on Monday, saying he is in self-isolation and is taking all precautions.
Many politicians have tested positive for the virus, including Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who tested positive for the virus last week.
More than 223,300 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Pakistan and over 4,500 deaths have been reported. Over 150,000 recoveries have been made so far.
