Deepika Padukone’s latest video encourages people to check in with those struggling with mental health issues

The campaign, #DobaraPoocho, is to urge people to be persistent in checking in with their loved ones


KARACHI: Live Love Laugh foundation, founded by Bollywood actress Deepika Padukine, launched a mental health campaign by releasing a video under the hashtag #DobaraPoocho.

The video encourages people to constantly check in and help loved ones who may be struggling with their mental health. 

Deepika posted the 4-minute-long video on her Instagram account. The video follows four stories of a father and son, husband and wife, and two sets of friends.

Deepika, who has been open about her own struggles with depression, has been a long advocate of mental health awareness. Recently,  she has been posting messages and tweets to dispel myths surrounding mental health issues following the death of actor Sushant Singh, which was ruled to a suicide.

Last week, Deepika had also released a video with Dr Shyam Bhatt and Dr Soumitra Pathare about suicide prevention.
