Anushka Sharma named in Fortune India’s list of top 50 powerful businesswomen of 2019

KARACHI: Ae Dil Hai Muhskil actress Anushka Sharma has been recognized overtime for her bubbly and out-going roles in Bollywood films. However, she is now getting recognition for her role as a businesswoman. Fortune India has released their list of the top 50 most powerful women in India. Anushka Sharma, 31, is the youngest to make the list. She is also the only Bollywood actor to be featured among other businesswomen.

Fortune India listed her as number 39 out of a list of 50 powerful Indian women and recognized her entrepreneurial skills of owning her own clothing line by the name of Nush as well as owning a film/production company by the name of Clean Slate Films. This company was set up by her at the young age of 25 years old and it released three small-budget Hindi films- NH10, Phillauri and Pari, which made 40 crore each at the box office. Clean Slate Films is also due to work with Netflix to produce a web-series called ‘Mai’.

Fortune India‘s annual rankings of India’s most powerful women are a determinant of factors relating to the level of impact made via principles of business and their social and cultural influence.
