KARACHI: Shahrukh Khan has been reigning the Bollywood movie industry for over two decades. And what glorious 29 years it has been. The actor has proven himself to be one of the most diverse actors out there. From playing the hero to playing the villain, from making us laugh to making us cry, he’s done it all. And so to celebrate 29 years of Shahrukh Khan here are some of his most memorable dialogues and scenes from his movies over the years.

1. The ‘Palat’ dialogue – Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

Shah Rukh Khan plays a reformed playboy who falls for the all so innocent Kajol and together they fight to be together. The ‘Palat’ dialogue is the perfect example of how much charm and charisma oozes out of Shahrukh Khan and how well he played his role. The dialogue will forever be etched into our minds and lovesick boys will definitely try to use it at least once in their lives.

2. ‘Kaash tumhari jagah mein hota’ – Kal Ho Na Ho

Khan knows exactly how to break hearts. In Kal Ho Na Ho he delivers a powerful dialogue that encapsulates all his character’s emotions perfectly. Heartbreak, grief and regret all beautifully conveyed in a number of words but with haunting expressions.

3. The ‘Gamla’ scene – Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum

Although the star of the scene was Kajol, Shahrukh Khan made us all laugh with his silly antics that fueled Kajol’s reactions. The playfulness comes naturally to Khan. Although admittedly it was hard choosing one scene from the entire movie.

4. ‘Kkkkk Kiran’ – Darr

Khan proved that he wasn’t limited to funny or tear-jerker roles. For Darr, he took on a more sinister role of a man obsessed with a girl and his love takes on a murderous craze. The ‘Kkkkk Kiran’ dialogue is haunting, to say the least.

5. Life Advice – Dear Zindagi

Dear Zindagi is another example of how Shah Rukh Khan can deviate from his conventional roles. In the coming of age movie Dear Zindagi, Shahrukh Khan played a psychologist who counsels a disgruntled Alia Bhatt. Though, Khan doesn’t stray too far from his funloving persona we all love.

And so there you have it. This trip down memory lane with some of the most memorable Shahrukh Khan scenes and dialogues will definitely leave you nostalgic.
