As banquets and wedding halls across the country remained shut until further notice, people resorted to having more intimate wedding ceremonies at home. And what better way is there to normalize a trend than to have celebrities endorsing it?

This adorable couple tied the knot in May this year and while Daniyal’s family was a part of the celebration, Fariyal’s loved ones could only witness the ceremony over video calls from the US since international flights were closed.

May 2020 also witnessed Hina and Aagha getting married in a simple Nikkah ceremony.
