KARACHI: If you’re in K-town for the weekend, here are a few things you can do:

1. Goonja Sa Hai Koi Ek Tara – Music Night

If you are up for something low-key and light, Koel Cafe will be hosting an evening of soulful music in open air. Nazia Zuberi and Karim Barolia will be performing and cinnamon tea and scrumptious bites will be served. It can’t get better than this, can it?

Date & Time: Mar 23, 9pm to midnight

Address: Koel Cafe: F 42/2, Block 4 Clifton, Karachi

2. Karachi Farmer’s Market (PECHS Edition)

Looks like the Farmer’s Market is coming to the other side of the bridge with it’s classic makai ki roti and sarson ka saag. It’s an amazing opportunity to put up stalls of natural and organic food be it fresh vegetables from your home garden and your very own, customised jar of pickles. Have a hearty and healthy Sunday!

Date & Time: Mar 24, 2:30pm to 6:30 pm

Address: Veritas Learning Circle: 37-E Shahrah-e-Faisal Rd, Block 6, PECHS, Karachi

3. Sunday Matinees- Insha’Allah Democracy by Mo Naqvi

In Insha’Allah Democracy, filmmaker Mohammad Naqvi explores his journey as a first-time voter in Pakistan. The filmmaker witnessed the coup of General Pervez Musharraf and while the military dictator was comparatively secular, in his term the country became much sectarian and unstable. The theme of the film questions if true democracy is actually possible in Pakistan. The screening is free and open to all.

Date & Time: Mar 24, 11:30 to 1:30pm

Address: Capri Cinema: M. A. Jinnah Rd, Saddar, Karachi
