Nation expresses grief over Peshawar bomb blast

KARACHI: Between the economic crisis and power outages, it seems as though things are going from bad to worse for Pakistan. To add to the misery, the country has been left grieving the lives of 59 following a bomb blast in Peshawar. The blast is said to have been targeting the police officers who were praying in a mosque during Zuhr prayers. With over a hundred people injured and one of the most heavily controlled areas of the city being attacked, the nation has expressed their grief and shock over what has transpired.

For many, the Peshawar bomb blast was a reminder of past trauma of the war on terrorism.

Others expressed anger at the political parties for their stances and wondered how long will innocent people have to suffer.

Most politicians, irrespective of their differences, agreed that more strict measures against terrorism need to be enforced.

But for the most part, there is just a sense of shock, grief and unity of prayers for the victims of the Peshawar bomb blast.

The question everyone wants answered is: How long will things go on like this for?
