KARACHI: The Eastern Eye recently released a list of young Asian talent dominating the entertainment industry. The list features artists who are, “Breaking boundaries, expanding horizons, shattering glass ceilings, and delighting audiences with their amazing performances.” And featured on that list from Pakistan are five of our actors and singers which include Sajal Aly and Bilal Abbas Khan as well as Asim Azhar.
Sajal Aly who recently made her Hollywood debut with Jemima Khan’s What's Love Got To Do With It? has been described by the list as, “The girl with the golden touch adds sparkle to any projects she is involved in, whether it is a drama serial, film, music video or eye-catching photo-shoot.”
Asim Azhar, who although is a singer, has tried his hand at acting and both talents got a shout out in the list, “The 26-year-old will carry on adding to his impressive catalogue of hit songs and likely take on more acting roles. Whatever Asim does, however, he will have a big legion of admirers ready to take notice.”
Bilal Abbas Khan who is currently sharing the screen with Sajal Aly in Kuch Ankahi also made the list for, “His wide array of roles and remarkable range as a performer. Although Bilal, 29, has concentrated mostly on drama serials, he is expected to use his impressive ability to choose good projects to take on more films and web series.”
Also included in the list were the likes of Kinza Hashmi who has been recognized as being part of, ” A young generation of Pakistani actresses who have a fearless approach to their acting choices.” Azaan Sami Khan has been included for “His all-round ability will see that exciting variety of work grow even further and expand the horizons of popular culture.”
Also included in the list are Alia Bhatt, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Iman Vellani and Ritviz.
