Sonya Hussyn on her role in Jinhey Rastay Main Khabar Hui

KARACHI: When we are to think of local actors who let their craft speak for themselves and continue to impress audiences with their performances instead of indulging in controversy, Sonya Hussyn would definitely be one name on the list. Time and again, the actor has stunned us with her talent. Be it a drama or movie, Sonya Hussyn has a way of owning the screen. More impressive is the fact that each of her characters has something memorable about it. Set to inspire audiences once again, Hussyn is currently working on Ali Masood’s directorial, Jinhey Rastay Main Khabar Hui.

The plot for the drama that will air on ARY Digital revolves around a strong-willed and progressive girl named Noor ul Ain, who works hard and takes pride in supporting her family. She faces challenges when she decides to explore and expand her career instead of getting married immediately after completing her education.

“The story is about a woman’s success and ambition that is still not taken in good stride within our society. It will make you think, why is a woman exploring her potential in her professional life looked down upon? Why is a working woman the one rejected when considered for marriage? How long should young girls limit their true professional potential just to be accepted in marriage? This story will make you feel the heartbreak and pain that Noor will face, but still, she uses that to her advantage and becomes stronger,” revealed Hussyn in a recent interview.

While we are eagerly waiting to see Sonya Hussyn in Jinhey Rastay Main Khabar Hui, it is not the only drama that the actor currently has in the pipeline. Ready to play SP Sara Sikandar in yet another unconventional role for a drama, Hussyn’s Tich Button is all set to release this October while she has also signed Daadal in which she will be being the role of a boxer.
