Shae Gill, Atif Aslam unite for Sarmad Khoosat’s ‘Manzil’

KARACHI: As much as we would have liked to believe that the pandemic is over, it is most certainly not. Only recently, a new variant of Omicron was detected in Pakistan and NCOC restored to tackle the situation. As the country gears up for what might be another wave of the pandemic, Khoosat Films is set to release a Covid-19 themed song. Produced in collaboration with US Embassy Islamabad, ‘Manzil’ has been sung by Atif Aslam and Shae Gill.

Shae Gill began her career as a professional signer earlier this year and got the perfect start with Coke Studio’s 'Pasoori' that she sang alongside Ali Sethi. Fate seems to be on Gill’s side as ‘Pasoori’ not only received worldwide recognition, but the young singer is now ready to sing with another musical genius, Atif Aslam.

The music video that is set to release on May 14 stars Sarwat Gilani as what seems like a school teacher while a play is being put together by students based on Covid-19. The lyrics for ‘Manzil’ have been penned by Mohammed Hanif while the music has been composed by Dr. Varqa Faraid and Shamsher Rana.

Co-producer of Khoosat Films, Sarmad Khoosat took to Instagram to remind his followers to get boosted since ‘the pandemic is not over yet’. Other than the Atif Aslam and Shae Gill collaboration, Sarmad Khoosat has other exciting projects underway, including the films Kamli and Joyland.
