KARACHI: There is nothing that turns heads like a good old billboard – and if it is red with witty one-liners plastered on it, well, you can say that it can become an internet sensation pretty quick. This is from our latest – #TodayILearned brought to you by none other than Swvl – the bus hailing app that has managed to strike a chord with its latest message.

As we said, it all started with some not-so-innocent billboards that were asking all the questions we only wish someone would ask us. From ‘Long-distance sambhalna mushkil? </3’ to ‘Maheenay ka end aur haath tang?’ – what made everyone talk about them was the fact that they hit close to home for many people. Though, the answer might be different for everyone – there is a traditional Pakistani answer we all hear ourselves saying all the time, ‘Koi Baat Nahi’, and we got that answer from Swvl.

Imagine feeling low and having a msg of “Koi baat nahi” fall outside your own home! Swvl dropped messages of hope and positivity to loyal consumers via a drone. Videos of this were uploaded on social media by overwhelmed consumers, and who wouldn’t be by such a caring gesture. Turns out, Swvl was reminding people to stay tuned for something more – and it was their thought through TVC.

The ad made us think of all those times we’ve felt like we were alone in a rat race. Like the end of the day was so tiring that you had to find a reason for why you were going on. But Swvl, through the ad, brought wonderful reminders. Swvl hit the nail right on the head as they rolled out the major part of this new campaign with the DVC ‘Koi Baat Nahi, Swvl Hai.’ The ad shared a story many of us live every day, connecting with the consumers on a level that matters to them the most, and most importantly, highlighting the resilience and patience that makes all of us Pakistanis move on and look ahead. Something as simple as ‘Koi Baat Nahi’ means a lot for those who are always trying to push through despite every obstacle in their way, and this ad made all of us feel seen and heard with how it extends on this simple phrase.

The ad for so many people, who go through this every day, was more than just an ad, but a hand to hold on to, a simple message by the brand that they’re there to listen to our daily struggles. As Pakistanis, we have grown up hearing phrases like ‘ye waqt bhi guzar jaye ga’ or ‘koi baat nahi’ that when Swvl came through with the same message, it made many feel less alone, reminding us of the bigger picture at the end of the day.

Content creators from the likes of Aimen Muneeb, Ali Gul Pir, Saman Hayatt, and others also came up with fun videos reminding us of all the reasons that we love Swvl – it is affordable, it is convenient, and it is safe. Also at many times, it saves us on our worst days because when things go wrong it’s necessary to remember, Koi Baat Nahi, Swvl Hai!

Swvl is changing the course of transport in Pakistan with safe, comfortable and convenient rides starting from as low as Rs. 30. One can book their seat via the app in advance, so there’s no worry about losing a seat (seat phir chin gayi?) no, not really, Swvl Hai! The services run in the cities and also city to city, so if you’re somebody who works outside of the city and miss family but can’t find a feasible way to travel, no need to worry, Swvl hai. With multiple stops all over Pakistan, the service is a reliable friend we all need, a tap on the phone away.

All in all – we have to say, Swvl never disappoints. Whether it is its service, their communication, or how it has managed to connect with people while providing them an easy solution to a pretty big problem; it is nice to always watch it deliver. The ‘Koi Baat Nahi, Swvl Hai’ line is going to stick around for a while, we can tell by how well it has been received by the public. It is always a good reminder to know that there are brands who care for the common people, and it is also nice to know that at the end of the day, all of us are going through the same things, but in different circumstances. So, you know, Koi Baat Nahi, just hang in there and you will get through it too!
