KARACHI: Legendary comedian Umar Sharif whose jokes most of us grew up listening to, lost his life earlier today. His health was deteriorating and he sought help from the Prime Minister for his treatment. Not monetary but rather to facilitate his travel for medical reasons. Following that, PKR 40 million were sanctioned for his treatment while Reema Khan’s husband was supposed to perform his surgery. However, we learnt a couple of days ago that while he was on his way to the US, his air ambulance made an emergency landing in Germany. The news of his death came in earlier today and Umar Sharif lost his life in a hospital in Germany.
It is indeed a sad news to learn that the one who always made others laugh left everyone saddened. Several celebrities took to social media and mourned the loss of the legend who will be remembered forever.
Indian comedy and show host Kapil Sharma also took to twitter to express his grief on the death of Umar Sharif sahab.
May his soul rest in eternal peace and may the Almighty grant patience and strength to his beloved family and friends.
