Saroj Khan: Bollywood’s most loved choreographer passes away

Bollywood stars pay their respects


KARACHI: Bollywood’s most prolific choreographer, Saroj Khan has passed away at the age of 71. She died of a cardiac arrest after being admitted to the hospital for ‘breathing difficulties’, according to local media.

With a career that stretched over a span of four decades, Khan originally started out as a back up dancer in the fifties, before eventually going on to choreograph some of the most iconic songs of Bollywood, such as the late Sridevi’s Hawa Hawai.

She is also known for having the highest number of Filmfare awards for Best Choreography for her work in films like Guru, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas.

Bollywood bigwigs such as Shah Rukh Khan are paying their respects on social media.
