KARACHI: Since people in Karachi often complain about not having anything to do over the weekend, we decided to help you out with a list of recommendations of all the events you should attend. You’re welcome!

This will be a weekly series so be sure to check out the latest every Friday.

1. Girls Night Out (ONLY FOR LADIES) – The Khawatoons 

An evening of “adult” comedy for all the ladies who could use a little bit of unwinding. The entry fee is Rs600 but trust us, it’ll be worth it.

2. Book Launch – Our Asma Jahangir 

Launch of a book based on the life of a woman who was a force to be reckoned with, Asma Jahangir. This launch will then be followed by a panel discussion comprising of the following speakers: Justice Majjida Rizvi, Uzma Noorani, Kaiser Bengali, Mohd Ali Shah, Munner Memon, and Javed Qazi.

3. Flea Market for a Cause – Care for Health 

Two birds, one stone: get your summer shopping sorted and feel good about knowing that proceeds from the sale will be used to support education and mental health at this event held by Kiran Foundation and Care for Health. Items on sale will be coming from Image Fabrics, Gul Ahmed, Khaadi, Sana Safinaz, ZARA, Mango, Bershka, Pull&Bear and more.

4. Rum & Harry – Ramadan Exhibition 

The hippest local western clothing line is going desi this Ramadan. They’re exhibiting their latest collection of casual kurtas and scarves in summer hues at their studio.

5. Open Mic Night – TDF Ghar 

All comedians, musicians, singers, and poets are welcome … but mind you, this one has an entry ticket of Rs200.
