However, fans will be able to revisit and relive the magic he once created on screen with his last project, Sharmaji Namkeen. The trailer for the movie dropped today and took us on a roller-coaster of emotions; it warmed our hearts, made us laugh and made us cry. Here is all that you need to know about Sharmaji Namkeen.

The movie stars Rishi Kapoor as the main lead, Sharma Ji, a 58-year-old widower who is forced into an early retirement. He suddenly finds himself with way too much time on his hands while his sons are constantly on his case to find something useful to do. Eventually, Sharma Ji discovers his passion for cooking but when he tells his family he wants to open a fast food joint, they simply do not take him seriously.

Until one day, Sharmi Ji’s friend sets him up to cook for what he assumes is a “spiritual gathering” but turns out to be a kitty party with some of the most vivacious women attending. They instantly fall in love with the food and the chef and he forms an unlikely bond with the ladies. But life is never easy and Sharma Ji faces resistance in the path of his choice.

Sharmaji Namkeen sees Rishi Kapoor in the lead. However, he shares the role with Paresh Rawal, who filled in for the actor after his death. We also get to see Juhi Chawala as the female lead.
