Atif Aslam confirms television debut from sets of Sang e Maa

KARACHI: For the past few months, rumors have been floating around that Pakistan’s favorite singer Atif Aslam was all set to make his television debut. Soon enough sources seemed to have confirmed that he was set to star in the second installment of the Sang-e- Mar Mar triology. He took to social media to confirm his television debut and he did so straight from the sets of Sang e Maa. Not only that, Atif Aslam also confirmed that he has a new song in the works as well.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, the singer confirmed that he was in fact starring in Sange Maa. He said, “Hello from the sets of Sange Maa. Yes, I am doing a drama series. And I need your blessings.” He also acknowledged that his fans have always given him unwavering love and support and that he hopes they continue to do so with his new project. In the background behind Aslam, you can see men dressed up in traditional shalwar kameez and sitting in a setting that can be attributed to village life.

However, that wasn’t the only news the singer broke. He let his fans on a tidbit that before the drama is to air, he has another project in the works and said, “I will be releasing something very soon.” He tried to maintain an air of suspense and called the project something “ajnabi sa, ajeeb sa (something mysterious and strange.)” He also revealed that whatever was in the works is just a few days away from being revealed. However, it seemed as though Atif Aslam couldn’t contain the suspense for too long and revealed that the new project is in fact a new song. “I’m going to be releasing a song and guess what? We have Mahira Khan in it,” he revealed.

Fans cannot wait to see what Atif Aslam has in store for them in both the upcoming drama and the new song!
