KARACHI: Ramsha Khan and Affan Waheed have been shooting for their upcoming drama in Karachi lately. Titled Shehnai, it is a romantic comedy-drama that revolves around a wedding. The first teaser of the upcoming project recently launched on ARY Digital, hinting at a bright and fun story featuring the two actors. “You are invited to celebrate #meerabwedsbakht in the upcoming drama serial #Shehnai,” reads the caption on ARY Digital’s official Instagram handle.
The teaser opens with Bakht (Ramsha Khan) being told that the groom ran away. She is apparently the bride but her reaction is rather weird; she is super excited about the groom leaving. Then we are introduced to Affan Waheed, who plays Meerab in the project opposite Ramsha Khan. The two dance to different tunes, one after the other, as their family and friends join them against the backdrop of a wedding. Whether the two are playing the bride and groom-to-be or there was another groom involved who apparently ran away is something we would know once the drama goes on air soon.
Having recently played an unconventional role in Ghisi Piti Mohabbat, Ramsha Khan bagged the Best Actress award for her performance in the drama.
Meanwhile, currently starring in Kasa e Dil, Affan Waheed is gearing up for his next alongside Hira Mani. The two make an adorable onscreen couple and we’re eagerly waiting for their next project together. For now, however, let’s wait and see what Ramsha Khan and Affan Waheed starrer Shehnai holds in store for fans who crave for some comedy on the small screen.
