Armeena Khan talks about emotional abuse

KARACHI: Armeena Khan is starring as Tara in ongoing drama serial Mohabbatein Chahatein that marks her TV comeback after Daldal. She plays a layered and rather problematic character, who does not think beyond herself. Tara first seeks divorce from her husband and then manipulates everyone into thinking she is the victim. She is destroying lives and relationships just to satisfy her ego and get what she wants. However, she is never content at the end of the day. In a recent social media post, Armeena Khan addressed emotional abuse, with reference to her character in drama serial Mohabbatein Chahatein.

“Emotional abuse is a form of abuse, characterized by a person subjecting or exposing another person to behaviour that may result in psychological trauma, including anxiety, chronic depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder. It is often associated with situations of power imbalance in abusive relationships and may include bullying, gaslighting. – The Internet #Tara,” she posted on Instagram after the recent episode of drama serial Mohabbatein Chahatein went on-air last night.

She stars alongside Hira Mani and Junaid Khan, who play key roles in the drama. The two are one of the most loved on-screen couples and had their fans excited to see them together yet again. As the drama opened, we were introduced to them as an endearing couple but then Tara (Armeena Khan) happened.
