Exclusive: Madiha Imam and Ali Rehman come together for new drama

KARACHI: Madiha Imam is certainly on a roll. She won many hearts with her effortless performance and a short-hair look in recently concluded Muqaddar. She also played the protagonist Salma in Zee5 series Ek Jhooti Love Story directed by Mehreen Jabbar that generated amazing feedback from both sides of the border. Having shot for an upcoming drama and a film, produced by Fawad Khan, she recently signed on for another drama. Tentatively titled Safar Tamaam Hua, the new drama features VJ turned actress Madiha Imam opposite Ali Rehman Khan. The two will be sharing the screen for the first time.

Madiha shared a few glimpses from the set on her Facebook and Instagram stories. The two are currently shooting for it in Karachi. “It is a family drama with a good narration; nothing like saas bahu zulm,” Madiha shared in an exclusive conversation with Cutacut. She informed that it is being directed by Shehrazade Sheikh, who also directed Muqaddar.

“Written by Rahat Jabeen, it is being produced by MD Productions for Hum TV. It is my collaboration with the channel after seven years. The cast also includes Samina Ahmed, Saife Hassan, Jibran Khan and others. The drama is expected to go on air early next year,” Madiha added.

Ali Rehman Khan, on the other hand, was last seen on the small screen in drama serials Bewafa and Khaas in 2019. His performance in the latter received appreciation as well as his onscreen chemistry with Sanam Baloch. Let’s wait and see what the upcoming new drama holds in store for fans of Ali Rehman Khan and Madiha Imam.
