5 of Sanjay Dutt’s best movies

KARACHI: Indian actor Sanjay Dutt recently took to his Instagram to announce a break from his career to focus on his medical treatment. The step was taken after Dutt was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer. While we may not seen the actor on screen for a while, Dutt has left behind a legacy of movies which will not let his fans forget him.

Here is a list of our favourite movies which Sanjay Dutt starred in.

1. Munna Bhai MBBS

Number one on the list has to be Munna Bhai MBBS. Released in 2003, the comedy movie features Dutt in the role of a medical student who wants to fulfill his father’s dream by becoming a doctor. However, Munna is far from a regular medical student but can easily win people’s hearts. Be it his carefree attitude or the way he manages to make people around him smile, Munna’s character has definitely left a mark on the movie’s audience. And who doesn’t remember his jaadu ki jhappi?

2. Agneepath

Dutt’s character in Agneepath, Kancha Cheema, stands in strike contrast with Munna. Not only do the two characters look completely different from each other but the joy that Munna brings with him is poles apart from the villainous nature of Cheema. These are only two examples of the versatility that Dutt’s roles have always had, a skill that makes him so popular.

3. Panipat

This 2019 movie is based on the third battle of Panipat. Once again in a completely different look, Sanjay Dutt plays the role of Ahmad Shah Abdali.

4. Khal Nayak

Definitely one of his older works, Khal Nayak is a 1993 action thriller film. It was also one of the highest grossing films of its time. Can we see the diversity of Dutt’s choices in movies already or not? The song Khal Nahi Khal Nayak Hun Main also remains popular.

5. Vaastav

Sanjay Dutt plays the role of a gangster, Raghu, in this 1999 movie. Once again, the movie was one of the highest grossing Bollywood movies of the 1990s.

Sanjay Dutt brings life to each of his characters and the range that he has shown throughout his movies goes matched by a few others. Some might say that Dutt’s life itself is like a movie but with the recent chapter that has opened up for the actor, we wish him nothing but good health.
