KARACHI: It has hardly been a week since the dust settled for feuding exes Johnny Depp and Amber Heard and now we have yet another feud being reignited. This time, Brad Pitt has lashed out on his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie for “inflicting harm” on him. What prompted the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star to file a court proceeding against his ex-wife of three years?
The feud started with the news that Angelina Jolie sold off their French Vineyard that she jointly owned with Brad Pitt, without consulting him which prompted him to file a case against her. As per the claims made by his legal team, Jolie sold off the property to a Russian oligarch who they claim has “poisonous associations” and “cutthroat business tactics” in an attempt to “inflict harm” on him. They claim this is all being done in retaliation over custody battle.
Brad Pitt claims that the vineyard became his “passion” and the project that grew “into a multimillion-dollar global business and one of the world’s most highly regarded producers of rosé wine” because of his efforts. The court documents claim that Angelina Jolie was of no help to “Miraval’s success.” The court documents go on to accuse Jolie of “purposely keeping Pitt in the dark, and knowingly violating Pitt’s contractual rights.”
The A list couple got married in 2014 after nearly 10 years together and share six children. They were the most sought out pairing until Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016 citing irreconcilable differences and stated that her decision to split was “for the health of the family.” Jolie revealed that the divorce was bitter and an emotionally charged one but she had to do it for her children.
