Ayesha Omar, Ahsan Khan-starrer ‘Rehbra’ gets release date

KARACHI: Pakistani film enthusiasts are in for quite a treat this summer. With five local films releasing on Eid-ul-Fitr, many are looking forward to the month of May. However, that is not where the excitement ends. Only a couple of days ago, Sarmad Khoosat’s Kamli announced its release date as June 3rd. Joining the list of movies releasing the same month is Ahsan Khan and Ayesha Omar’s much awaited film, Rehbra.

Directed by Amin Iqbal and produced by Saira Afzal, Rehbra was first announced in 2016. Shooting began in 2017 but was halted due to various reasons. With the film initially set out to release in 2020, the team has finally announced June 24th, 2022, as the new release date. Fans have also finally been treated to a poster and teaser of the film.

Starring Ahsan Khan as Danish and Ayesha Omar as Bubbly, the film has been described as ‘a rom-com action flick’. As evident from the teaser as well, at the heart of the film is a love story between Danish and Bubbly, combined with action sequences. While Khan looks like a true hero fighting the bad guys, Sohail Sameer appears in an intriguing avatar as he plays with guns and enters on a horse.

After years of waiting, the team are excited to present their project to the audiences who cannot wait to watch the full trailer this Eid.
