Trailer for Money Heist Season 5 Volume 2 is finally here

KARACHI: It’s been months since we last saw our favorite group of robbers and the last we left them, things were not going great for them in their Royal Mint of Spain heist. With a key member of their gang gone, fans were left stunned at how things in Money Heist season 5 Volume 1 played out and having to wait for Volume 2 seemed next to impossible. Between counting down the days and coming up with theories, Netflix treated fans to the full length trailer for Money Heist Season 5 Volume 2 and here’s what we gathered.

The trailer opens with The Professor rolling up to the Royal Mint in a red beetle in what seems to be a surrender of sorts. While his car is surrounded by people who support him and his gang, he is welcomed by a group of armed soldiers and snipers waiting on the roof. But if there is one thing Money Heist fans know, the Professor is always armed with a plan and so we expect nothing less of him. The scene then cuts some heartbreaking scenes as Rio finally admits that Tokyo is dead and he sobs into Lisbon’s shoulder as the weight of the loss hits him. In a haunting voiceover which says, “You see the disappointed faces of the people you failed. It’s as if a javelin was hurled through your chest,” which is accompanied with scenes of a smiling Tokyo, a crying Professor and of Denver as he breaks down clinging onto Stockholm for comfort.

We also get to see how the government and special forced are determined to put an end to the heist. We see soliders preparing for yet another round in the Royal Mint and we get a glimpse of Colonel Tamayo and Angel as they discuss how, “We came in here to complete a mission: to put an end to the heist and that’s what we’re going to do.” To add to the suspense of whether the gang will make it out alive or not we have a glimpse of Palermo admitting to Helsinki that he fears they won’t be able to make it out alive to which Helsinki refuses to accept that as an option and reminds Palermo of his promise that he would do just that.

In a series of sequences, we see Alicia Sierra is what appears to be a car chase, flashbacks of Berlin (about who we still don’t know how he fits in) and ends with members of the gang being brought to their knees as Tamayo looks on in shock.

Money Heist season 5 Volume 2 will hit the screens on December 3rd.
